Endorsement and Support for the Association for Women in Finance in Japan


Mission

The Association for Women in Finance (AWF) is a Tokyo-based volunteer organization that aims to provide women in finance a forum in which they can further their professional development, network and exchange information, and meet like-minded women of all nationalities.

The Association for Women in Finance in Japan has been active in the Japanese financial community for over a decade, making it the longest-standing association in Japan of its kind. The Association is run by a board of professional women and while meetings are open to anyone, membership is restricted to professional women in the world of finance.

Two representatives from a sponsoring organization are entitled to attend meetings at membership price every month.

Two representatives from a sponsoring organization are entitled to free entry in any month that the sponsoring organization provides a venue and/or a speaker for an event. 

Sponsors can choose to subsidize entry fees for any staff attending as part of diversity programmes.

Future access to intern programme for female students studying financial subjects at Japanese universities*
 
*Currently in planning stage

Costs: Annual fee of JPY100,000 per institution

Note: the money will be used for administrative costs and to maintain monthly events at reasonable costs thereby encouraging broader access and making the events open to women from all levels of financial organizations.
